GLOBAL GREEN POWERFEATURES
These power plants are being developed to provide economical, renewable
power and to eliminate waste disposal problems -- while being environmentally
friendly.
The power plants are engineered to meet local, state, and national
environmental standards while simultaneously providing a virtually
cost-free solution to disposal of biomass waste streams.
The technology.. what it is
These power plants are not traditional boiler andsteam
turbine units. These power systems are based on integrating a gasifier with a gas turbine. This technology includes gasification of biomass
to produce a clean gas used to fuel a gas turbine engine coupled to an electrical generator.
The biomass power plant is smaller in size and has a higher fuel to electrical power efficiency than conventional steam power plants of the same generating capacity. These biomass power plants are being designed to economically use fuel resources such as straws, grasses, nut shells, cotton gin trash, stalks and other plant growth material less suitable or not considered for use in traditional power plants.
Affordable advanced biomass power plants commercially available
Global Green Power is demonstrating and placing into commercial operation the first in a family of advanced biomass fueled cogeneration power plants which are well within the price constraints of small companies, energy producers, and communities that can benefit from this advanced technology.
These cogeneration power plants range in unit sizes from 4 MWe to 20 MWe of electrical output, and are designed to be fueled with biomass such as:
wood
bagasse
rice hulls
coffee bean pulp
cotton gin trash and stalks
nut shells
straws
grasses
refuse derived fuel
animal manure
municipal solid wastes
and other renewable fuel sources

| Performance cited is based on the following
fuel characteristics:
The biomass fuel is wood waste received from a hammermill and graded through a 2'' * 2'' grate, cleaned to contain a minimum of inorganics (glass, metal, rocks, dirt, nails, etc). The wood is 15% moisture on a wet basis. It has the following ultimate analysis: C 52.3%,H 6.3%,O 40.5%, N 0.1% , S<0.1%, ash 1%. Cal heat value is 7630 btu/lb (d.w.) |
These power plants can provide economical co-generated power for mills, manufacturing and processing plants, such as:
